[edit] Who I Am
I'm a 20 year old college student with a vested interest in the things illustrated in my user boxes. I try to maintain truthfulness in the articles I edit, as well as bring about good aesthetics and exposure to give the true feel of what is being described, regardless of the cold words of an encyclopedic tone. This has gotten me into "trouble," however. I've been blocked for violating the three revert rule, but I am still of the belief that it was instigated for pride rather than an article's integrity. But, no matter. Not a big deal, so I'm not going to treat it as such.
[edit] Comics
I've had a vested interest in comic books, particularly the DC brand, ever since I was a small child. The Batman character is my favorite, because I find we coincide with beliefs about what is justice, as well as our abhorrence for the belief of death being justice. I find that the Superman character is a personification of the American Dream, and that the industry owes its very livelihood to him. I review Batman oriented comics for the Batman On Film sub-site, Batman In Comics. My favorite characters (in order) are:
[edit] Movies
I'm currently a Film major, with the desire to move to a specialty school after I obtain an Associate's degree. My interest is in both sides of the camera, and I have acted in the past for television. However, I think my technical eye outweighs my acting prowess, which is why I have chosen to be trained in the composition of cinematic arts. Favorite films include:
[edit] Politics
I am, by all traditional definitions, a liberal. Being a resident of the United States, I usually coincide with the thoughts and beliefs of the Democratic Party. I do, however, believe in the fair representation of all sides of a point of view, and will call people on it if I see unfairness or bias in an article. Regardless of my own personal beliefs, I find that Conservapedia is, for lack of better terms, an utter joke.
Although I am a liberal, I recognize a bad/crooked candidate when I see one, and 90% of the time do not vote rigidly along party lines. I believe a divided government is the best kind, because it could help represent both sides in any branch of government. For the 2008 Presidential Election, I support Barack Obama.
