Slovenské stredohorie

Slovenské stredohorie is a group of mountain ranges in southern central Slovakia. Approximately in the center of the mountains lies the city of Zvolen.
Slovenské stredohorie is a part of the Inner Western Carpathians. They are bordered by the Fatra-Tatra Area in the northwest and north, Slovenské rudohorie (Slovak Ore Mountains) in the east, Juhoslovenská kotlina basin in the south and by the Pannonian Plain in the southwest.
The Slovak Medium Mountains are divided into the following subdivisions:
- Vtáčnik
- Pohronský Inovec
- Štiavnica Mountains
- Kremnica Mountains
- Poľana
- Ostrôžky
- Javorie
- Krupina Plain
- Zvolen Basin
- Pliešovská kotlina basin
- Žiar Basin
The highest mountain is Poľana at 1,458 m.
