Siobhan Patricia Dillon[1] (b. 1 September 1984, Lichfield, Staffordshire, England) is a British actress/singer, currently (as of 2007) starring in London's West End in Grease as Patty Simcox, which opened on 25 July 2007 at the Piccadilly Theatre. Show producer, David Ian, said: “I knew that Siobhan was something special when I first saw her for The Sound of Music, and I am very pleased that she will be joining the cast of Grease.” [2] Dillon is also the understudy for the characters of Sandy and Marty and has played both roles several times in her run in the show. Siobhan will be finishing the role on the 14th June 2008 where the new cast will continue on Monday 16th June 2008. She will then be working on her album.

Dillon was 21 years old when she came to national attention in the UK (in 2006) when she appeared on the hit BBC TV show, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?. Dillon came third in the show. [3] Although, despite being one of the favourites during the first round of auditions, Dillon initially did not make the 'final ten' after an illness had badly affected her voice during the final stages. However, after finalist Emilie Alford removed herself from the competition, Dillon, being the last person eliminated during the selection process returned to the show as the "Second Chance Maria". Dillon was completing a BA Hons in Product Design and Development for the Fashion Industry, Accessories pathway at Cordwainers College (part of University Of The Arts London) before starring in Maria.

To check the fitness of all the potential Marias, which would indicate their stamina for every show, David Ian took the girls to an assault course. Siobhan ran the course fastest, in under two minutes. Siobhan came in first in this test, with Simona Armstrong coming second.

During the semi-final week the girls went to Wales to build up their confidence and acting skills with West End's leading man John Barrowman. In the last week the three finalists were taken to Austria to see some of the sights which were in the film, which included the famous steps and the Abbey.
