Simona Armstrong

Simona Armstrong is a Romanian born singer and actress who lives and works mainly in the UK. Between 2004 and 2007, she made a few TV acting appearances in the UK, notably in Doctors, Sinchronicity and A Touch Of Frost. On stage Simona has appeared in Fame and Little Shop Of Horrors. [1] In 2006, she participated in the BBC1 reality TV series How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? hosted by Graham Norton, hoping to land the lead role in a revivial of The Sound Of Music being staged by Andrew Lloyd-Webber at the London Palladium. Although she failed in her bid to win the competition, she returned to television contests in 2008, presenting the song Changes, (written by Simon Ellis, Emma McGettrick, Mari Loretzen, Eleanor Wilson and Caroline Reed), in the 2008 show Eurovision: Your Decision, hoping to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest. Armstrong reached the audience voting stages, but was not selected as one of the two finalists. According to the BBC press release [2], she has now appeared in British Comedy Love Soup in which she portrayed someone acting a Lesbian Love Scene and is currently filming a role for The Bill.
