Description: Chalk and chainmen secure a Singapore navy Super Puma to the flight deck of dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) during deck landing qualifications (DLQs) as part of the Singapore stage of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2007. DLQs were conducted to enhance the interoperability between the U.S. and Singapore navies. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and six Southeast Asia nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
