Sid Phillips, an animated character voiced by Erik von Detten, is the main villain of Toy Story (Disney/Pixar, 1995). According to Rex, he is known to “torture toys, just for fun!” Sid did not appear in Toy Story 2, although his kidnapping of Woody and Buzz Lightyear was referenced in the sequel. He is around 10 years old, and as well as torture toys (burn them, blow them up, or in one of his "mad doctor" plays) also likes listening to rock music. He has several posters in his room, such as: "Killin' Paul Bunyan And His Blue Ox of Doom", and "Megadork", as well as a shooting target (which was actually from inside the office of one of Pixar's layout artists.)

[edit] Plot
In Toy Story, he is known by Andy’s toys to destroy and torture toys for his own enjoyment. Sid has also managed to train his dog, Scud, to destroy toys. When he gets hold of Woody and Buzz in the rocket crane game at Pizza Planet, he burns Woody’s forehead with the Sun’s light using a magnifying glass. Sid rebuilds the destroyed toys, randomly combining parts to create monster-like constructions. These "mutant" toys hide under his bed. Later, all of the toys work together as a team to scare Sid and stop him from destroying toys. By now, Sid has "toy-phobia" and whenever seeing a toy, will freak out like a little kid. When Woody says to Sid, "So Play Nice" after telling him that "Toys can see everything", he screams so loudly, he runs inside and tells his younger sister, Hannah that the toys are alive. He then tells Hannah's "new" doll, to be nice to him and Hannah scares him with Sally, her replacement for Janie, and continues to chase Sid upstairs to his room, crying.
[edit] Parody
-Sid Phillips is used to parody Darth Vader's interrogation of Princess Leia in one scene. When using a magnifying glass to burn Woody's forehead, Sid says, "Where's the rebel base? Talk!"
