SIC Comédia was a Portuguese TV channel, and was available on cable. It was part of the television network SIC (Sociedade Independente de Comunicação). The channel stopped airing on the 31st of December 2006.
The channel aired shows such as Seinfeld, The Tonight Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Cheers, The Benny Hill Show, M*A*S*H, Benson, Saturday Night Live, 'Allo 'Allo!, Comedy Inc., Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier, My Hero, Smith and Jones, The War Next Door.
However, it also contained shows created in Portugal, such as Biqueirada, HermanSic or Prazer dos Diabos.
It is now defunct, because TVCabo (the main cable provider of Portugal) didn't want to continue with the channel. In TVCabo, Fox Life replaced the channel and on TVTEL (another portuguese cable provider), SIC Mulher got the spot. A petition for the channel to continue was created.
