[edit] Platysaurus intermedius

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of Platysaurus intermedius, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.tallbo.com/platysaurus/p_intermedius.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 18:10, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Platysaurus intermedius. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —DerHexer (Talk) 18:13, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

{{helpme}} How can I fix a page which is copied from a website? Shrewpelt 18:16, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Assuming the bot is not in error, you don't hold the copyright on the text, and it's not in the public domain, I'd suggest rewriting the article (as the template on Platysaurus intermedius suggests). Just change the sentences so they are no longer verbatim: instead of "Male P. i. whilhelmi have a dull olive-green to brown back with a few, scattered whitish spots", say "Male P. i. whilhelmi are colored green or brown with white spots." See WP:CV for more information. Hoof Hearted 18:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

[edit] Great Comet of 1882 GA/R

The article Great Comet of 1882 has been improved somewhat since it's nomination for GA/R. I was wondering if you could re-review the article and, if you feel it's now up to spec, change your Delist vote. Also, generally speaking, a lack of images and overall length of an article aren't grounds for delisting. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks! Drewcifer 06:28, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] If you didn't know already

You asked - on the Inheritance discussion page - "Who is the sword maker in Du Weldenvarden who makes swords for the Dragon Riders?"

I think the sword maker was in Ellésmera, and her name is Rhùnon. She made Zar'roc.

[edit] Venus

I saw you proposed a task force on the planet Venus and it was commented on that perhaps the topic was too narrow for even a task force. It might be, but might I suggest you try what I did to help improve articles over a narrow topic range, I just set up a collaboration in my user space, you can see it here: User:IvoShandor/Black Hawk War. We cover one war, and have only four collaborators but we have gotten loads of work done over the last few months, feel free to model something similar after my pages. :) IvoShandor 16:26, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deadline?

Hi, I'm a member of WikiProject: Warriors. I've recently checked the list of members. A good number of members have posted themselves as "active", but many have been left as "Possibly inactive". As this hasn't seem to have changed recently, I suggested on the talk page that someone set up a deadline to move their names to "active" or "inactive", as I think members have had a good while to log into Wikipedia. Check the talk page Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Warriors for my original post... IceUnshattered (talk) 13:57, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spinn Offs

I totally agree with the field guides being spin-offs, they don't add to the story line. But the Firestar's Quest actually continues the adventures between the last of the first series and the first of the second series. Also the manga just tell a second story going over the second series. I think it would be better to title it something like: Other Warriors Books, or something like that, but if nothing seems to fit, ya, change it back. Epass (talk) 13:20, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] MfD nomination of Portal:Warriors

Portal:Warriors, a page you created, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Warriors and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Portal:Warriors during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. John Carter (talk) 20:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I think this may be a little premature for a 2-day-old portal, but, weel, thing to do is work on the articles a bit. Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 20:48, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] GA Comments for Warriors (novel series)

To further explain on my original reasons what I was trying to say was that the article needs to be more NPOV as its seems to be mostly focused on the actual books and items relating specifically to the books instead of the reception and overall development of the books. It may also seem like this due to the way the article is organized which was my main reason for failing the article, but a through copyedit should solve this problem. However if you still disagree with me feel free to take the article to WP:GA/R. I hope this helps you improve the article. Tarret talk 22:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, it should pass now, however I'll leave it to another reviewer to give it a pass. Also, the series does have potential to be a WP:FT if you put some more work into it. Tarret talk 18:03, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Warriors

Helpful advice: If it is going to get deleted, keep a copy in your userspace. It'll make recreation later a lot easier. Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 19:46, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

No bother. I'll admit to finding the MfD a little worrisome (They couldn't have talked to you first?) but you at least seem to be taking it well =) Good luck on getting the articles up to level, and if I can help, poke me =) Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 23:30, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Warriors Userfication?

Would you like this moved to your userspace? I'm deleting, mainly based on your comments in which you essentially concede. Absent that there may not have been enough there to determine consensus - but then it's always a guess what I or anyone else would have done if things had been different. In any case, I'll gladly move it to your userspace rather than outright deleting it if want it.--Doug.(talk contribs) 04:23, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Alternately, if you wish, I could move it into my userspace. I guess the question becomes whether we think that there will be enough quality articles to meet the minimum threshold of 30, about which you probably know a lot more than me. In any event, let me or Doug above know if you want it recreated to be moved into userspace. I know that you might not be particularly active until the weekend, so I'm not necessarily expecting a really quick reply from you. John Carter (talk) 14:54, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
