I'd like to know if it still the world's biggest considering that the new Georgia Aquarium is also billed as the world's biggest

The aquarium was designed to hold 8 million gallons of water and be home to more than 100,000 fish. By comparison, Shedd Aquarium in Chicago — the nation's largest indoor aquarium for decades — has 5 million gallons and about 20,000 fish. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2005-11-21-aquarium_x.htm

Another editor has twice removed an artistic (his term) image of the tank that illustrates how the architect's design allows the viewer to visual merge tank and lake. No other image in the gallery illustrates this feature. The editor's grounds that this image isn't encyclopedic because it is artistic runs contrary to the whole featured image process where aesthetically pleasing images are actively sought, evaluated, and highlighted. All this aside, it's always a good idea to go ahead and seek consensus prior to making a controversial deletion, so I've started this thread.

First, in no way am I trying to outright delete the image, as your comments make it seem, I just don't think it is fit for the article. It is perfectly acceptable, but it doesn't not illustrate anything specific. Anyway, I was just there and the architecture doesn't really merge the tank and lake. Your definition of artistic may be different than mine, but as it does not describe, show, or illustrate anything in particular other than the background of Lake Michigan above a nondescript tank, I consider it not to be very encyclopedic, which is what Wikipedia wants. In my opinion, the silhouette makes it more artistic than encyclopedic, though that is not such a bad thing. Mainly, after some simple looking, this is an image that you took, making this a sort of Conflict of Interest. Rather than arguing, we should seek a third or fourth opinion. [edit] Removed Animals

I reformatted the list of animals, then, on reflection, decided to delete it completely. The article notes there are 2100 species in the aquarium. There seems no reason to put a list of just 41 of them, and have 13 of those be red links to start with. (I also don't think we should attempt to put all 2100 on a list!)
