Sheylan

Sheylan (Azerbaijani: Şeylan) is one of the kurdish tribes[1]. One branch of Sheylan tribe before Nagorno-Karabakh war lived in Sheylanli village of Lachin, Azerbaijan. Due to Nagorno-Karabakh war currently as an internally displaced persons they live in Agjabadi district of Azerbaijan. They speak Kurmanji dialect of Kurdish Language. Many sources show [2] that this tribe is one of 24 Kurdish tribes that were moved from Qaradagh (in nowadays Iran) to Karabakh and Zangezur by Shah Abbas I of Iran in 1586 to fortify the borders of the Safavid Empire.
