Screenwriting guru

A screenwriting guru is a known, experienced and usually highly paid screenwriter, screenwriting teacher or book author who has written about the craft of screenwriting, and who is also well known and accepted as a professional throughout the film industry. The term "guru" is attached to their name because of their extensive knowledge of the form and structure of conventional screenplays, as well as to their ability to successfully teach this knowledge to novice "would-be" writers. Among the most well known are:
