Jeffrey Alan Schechter

Jeffrey Alan Schechter (usually credited as Jeff Schechter) is a screenwriter whose work has been nominated for two Emmy awards, a Writers Guild of America award, and a Writers Guild of Canada award.

Schechter was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and is a graduate from the film program at SUNY Purchase.

Schechter was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Outstanding Television Writing for his work on the Disney film Brink!.[citation needed] In 2005, he also received a Writers Guild of Canada award nomination for his work on The Big Wish Movie.[citation needed] In 2004 and 2005, he received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Writing in a Children's Series for the Discovery Kids series Strange Days at Blake Holsey High;[citation needed] he also directed the episode Past which earned the series a British Academy of Film and Television Arts award for Best International Series.[citation needed]
