[edit] New Photo Matching Service
Hi there,
I'm contacting you because you listed yourself at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Photographers. You might be interested in a new wikiproject page that lists photographers and articles that need photos by location. The page is located at Wikipedia:Photo Matching Service or WP:PMS GabrielF 00:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] new toy
Kirill Lokshin and me have developed a new toy (discussion):

Implemented in an article it can look like in Mongol bow (including some misunderstanding) or Indian Wars. While we (mostly me) think it is a great thing (contrary to the long frustrating negotiations for images that can not keep up with the rapid expansion of articles and new requests), it would require some people to use it and not overdo it. You just have to google missing images and insert the url with a short description. I would really appreciate it, especially for the feedback. Thank you a lot. [edit] WP:MILHIST member list
I'm not entirely sure what you actually meant to do there. The "inactive" list was intended for people who actually hadn't edited Wikipedia at all for more than three months; did you intend to move yourself there, or were you trying to do something else? :-) Kirill Lokshin 00:12, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, nevermind; I see that you've gone on wikibreak. Good luck, and hope to see you again sometime! Kirill Lokshin 00:17, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Contribution
Hello. I am currently trying to contribute to a battle in respect to giving a reason why a Viking force had to withdraw from a native attack, which I think was instrumental to the article itself and since the person in question received her place in history for that act. Its my understanding that Wikipedia is meant for contributions, but the people at that region see fit to leave the situation vague. They have told me that I cannot simply copy and past from references and, in short order, I re-wrote the small addition in my own words. I don't see what the problem here is, however, they simply revert my edits and give me vague conclusion to why they have done so. The site is intended to be used for non-commercial reproduction so we have no problems in copyright infringement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. InternetHero 22:59, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vasa (ship) at FAC
Since you've shown interest or made some contributions to Vasa (ship), I'd like to notify you that it has been nominated as an FAC. Your insights and comments would be much appreciated there.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Adnan Hajj Beirut photo comparison.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Adnan Hajj Beirut photo comparison.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
