[edit] Sci-fi TV shows?

If sci-fi novels are being subcategorized, might the same not be done for sci-fi tv shows, of which several occur as direct children of this category? -- कुक्कुरोवाच|Talk‽ 13:49, 31 May 2004 (UTC)

There's fewer of them than the books, so it's hard to say. IMHO, if it has both a movie and a tv show it definately belongs on this page. But the specific show or specific movie would go on those respective pages and/or under the universe subcategory. Really, it's a judgement call that should change when things start looking cluttered. Seems OK now, but... --ssd 21:01, 31 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Speculative fiction

I'm trying to work out if speculative fiction deserves a different category. I just placed "Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius" in the present category, but it's not exactly science fiction. -- Jmabel 15 Sep 2004

Are there enough articles where the distinction is clear enough? --[[User:Aranel|Aranel ("Sarah")]] 23:40, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Speculative fiction would make a fine parent category for Category:Science fiction, I think. I don't know if there are many articles that could fill it, but it would be a fine way to unify Category:Science fiction, Category:Horror, and Category:Fantasy. -Seth Mahoney 02:00, Sep 16, 2004 (UTC)
