Talk:Sarkis Antikajian

[edit] Notability

Sarkis Antikajian is an exceptional artist whose work deserves to be recognized far beyond the local environment of Eugene/Springfield, Oregon where he lives. He has a large local following and has begun to garner recognition from art dealers and academics in many other parts of the country who have learned of his work through his website or word of mouth. All those who know Sarkis should provide appropriate input to this site on Wikipedia to support the much wider recognition of his stature as a late 20th/early 21st century painter.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Vacpacker (talkcontribs) 06:00, December 18, 2007

Hi, just so you know, Wikipedia articles should be about people who are already notable. Wikipedia is not here to promote people in order for them to become notable, no matter how exceptional an artist he may be. Please read up on our guidelines about notability. We need some citations to reliable sources (especially third-party sources that aren't his website) to establish notability, otherwise the article is subject to deletion. Let me know if you have any questions. Katr67 (talk) 18:57, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Point of view

Please read about our neutral point of view policy. Things like "The following websites provide citation to the quality of Sarkis' work." do not belong in an encyclopedia. Katr67 (talk) 23:22, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
