"Same Script, Different Cast" is a duet between R&B singers, American Whitney Houston and Canadian Deborah Cox. Released as a single in 2000, the song features Houston playing the former lover of Cox's fiancé, who tries to warn Cox of her former lover's hurtful ways though Cox refuses to acknowledge it.
The song incorporates a backing track of Für Elise by Ludwig van Beethoven during the intro.
The song was released as a radio-only promo and hence no video was made. The track was not a success, failing to reach the top forty.
