The Ultimate Collection is Whitney Houston's latest greatest hits collection, released on October 29th 2007[1]. For the first time, a single CD of Houston's hit singles is released. It debuted at #5 in the UK, with impressive sales of 37,228. It climbed to #3 in its second week on the chart. In Brazil, was released as "Whitney Houston - The Best So Far". The album sold around 1.5 million copies in Europe and over 2 million copies in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Unlike her previous compilation of hits, Whitney: The Greatest Hits, the upbeat & dance oriented songs are not remixed and actually contain the original version of those songs. It makes this the first accessible CD that has remastered those songs in their original version; a relief to some Whitney fans who were frustrated [2] by the remixes the previous compilation only provided.
