Presidential elections will be held in El Salvador on 15 March 2009. The main candidates are Rodrigo Avila (ARENA) and Mauricio Funes (FMLN). A poll from May 2008 gave Funes 41% and Avila 20%, while Wil Salgado (PCN) got 4%.^[1]
