The song's lyrics in chinese was composed in 1950s at the latest. Probably the english verion was composed at the same time. Are you sure the copyright of the english version is owned by the webmaster of http://www.wellesley.edu/Polisci/wj/China/CRSongs/sailingtheseas.html ?

No, it is very unlikely it is owned by him/her. However, if the song was composed in the fifties, then I believe that they would still be under copyright- please see the list of countries' copyright length. J Milburn (talk) 14:36, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
