Sailosi Tagicakibau (born 14 November 1982, Auckland, New Zealand) is a rugby union footballer who plays at wing/full back for London Irish. The speedy winger is recognisable by his speed and is a prime example of the new millennium winger. At 6ft 4in (193cm) he possesses a threatening combination of power, pace and elusiveness that has made him an entertaining player. His running style is unique in that he is exceptionally laid back and never seems to be running flat out, which is deceptive as he incredibly quick. Before his rugby career took off, he attended Papakura High and Wesley College.
He made his debut for the Samoan 7's National team in 2003 making several appearances and becoming a team staple. Later that year he was selected as part of the Manu Samoa World Cup squad and is remembered for his tries against Georgia and Uruguay.
He made his club debut in the 2004 season of the National Provincial Championship(NPC) in New Zealand, playing for Taranaki(Although it should be noted that he played for the Counties-Manukau club previous to the 2003 Rugby World Cup in the NPC Second division). The following year 2005 he played for the Chiefs in the international Super 12 competition.
Currently at London Irish he is part of what could be considered as the most dangerous back three in the premiership along with Topsy Ojo and Delon Armitage.
