Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, or SAIT (say-t) as it's referred to locally, is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is a polytechnic undergraduate college. Offering more than 70 applied degrees, diplomas, and certificates, it serves as a polytechnic institution for the city of Calgary and Southern Alberta.
During the Second World War, the SAIT facilities were utilized by the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
The film The Final Sacrifice, which attained cult status after being featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000, was directed and produced by students at SAIT in 1990.
SAIT also has its own campus radio station, currently branded as Ride 103. The station can be heard online or locally in Calgary on Shaw cable radio.

SAIT joined the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference in 1964 and is represented today in the 6 major sports: basketball, curling, soccer, cross country running, hockey and volleyball. All of SAIT's sports teams share the name Trojans.

The Campus Centre contains a bowling alley, salt water pool, weight room, gymnasium, hockey arena and 341 seat theatre.

SAIT SA has built a new in campus coffee house for student gathering which is expected to be start working in summer 2008
- SAIT SA Bookshop
SAIT SA also run a full range bookstore and high tech computer store in Heart Building which offer discount laptops,computers,software and computer accessories to students on discount rates
- SAIT Library
SAIT library located in heart building is a state of the art high tech library with a broad range of books ,magazines and newspapers to serve the reader ,SAIT is also in collaboration with Alberta Govt. to provide its students a online library facilities though which students can use thousands of books online from all over Alberta .

SAIT Polytechnic is located in the NW division of city of Calgary with near proximity to downtown Calgary.the Main campus is also served by Dalhousie-Somerset CTrain with its own dedicated train station and many buses.the campus is located on 16th avenue calgary which is the trans-Canada highway passing through calgary and 10th Street and 14th street which is home to urban lifestyle coffee houses ,bars and shopping district. other campuses include campus is Mayland Heights Calgary and Calgary Airport. The largest student on-campus residence building in Alberta will be completed on the SAIT campus in early 2008. The building is 22 stories high and contains 720 rooms.
