Sabahad

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sabahad is a type of Somali martial arts, mostly used for real fights. This technique is not mostly used as a sport because of its potentially dangerous results. The word sabahad is derived from the Arabic word Sibaha (meaning to swim), and suggesting that the aim is sending the opponent to swim. This is done by catching his collar and belt and throwing him obliquely. A successful Aabaha by a specialist could cause radial fracture and some times some broken cranial bones which may be fatal.
