The hockey stick is a notable automotive design feature seen on modern Saab automobiles. It is a C-pillar curve from the base of the rear passenger window that resembles the shape of a hockey stick and also reminds of the Nike swoosh symbol.

The distinctive design cue first appeared on the Saab 99 in the late 1960s[1] and has since appeared on most Saab models, including the classic Saab 900, and current models such as the Saab 9-5 and the 9-3 SportCombi.

Recently, Saab designers have experimented with evolving the styling feature into what has been referred to as reverse hockey stick, where the angle of the rear passenger window extends out toward the rear end instead of curving forward the B-pillar.

The reverse hockey stick design can be seen on the Saab 9-X BioHybrid concept car, expected to go in production as the Saab 9-1 around 2010.
