Ryan Steven Plackemeier (born March 5, 1984) is an American football punter who played college football at Wake Forest University, becoming an All-America and was awarded the Ray Guy Award for outstanding punting 2005. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft and signed to a four-year, $1.652 million contract. Plackemeier is an unusually large punter at 6'3", 253 pounds. He is the son of Steve and Cindy Plackemeier, who are both teachers at Vista High School in Vista, California.

Plackemeier attended Fallbrook Union High School in San Diego and was a letterman in soccer and football. In soccer, he was a four-year letterman and a two-time team M.V.P. In football, as a senior, he was a first team All-Avocado League selection and was named the North County Times Kicker of the Year.
