Ruslan Bashkirov

Ruslan Bashkirov (born on March 7, 1989 in Moscow, Russia) is a Russian ice hockey player. He is 6'0" tall and weighs 184 pounds. He plays as a forward, and shoots left. He is the twin brother of ice hockey player Roman Bashkirov. He is currently playing for Khimik Moscow Oblast.

In 2005–2006, he played for the HC Spartak Moscow in the Russian Super League. In 2006–2007, he was drafted by the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Scouts report that he has an impressive scoring touch, and they were also impressed with his aggressiveness and competitiveness. On June 23, 2007, he was drafted in the second round, 60th overall, by the Ottawa Senators in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft held in Columbus. Scouts have ranked him among top European players.
