[edit] Field Colour
Although there are references to the colour of the field being "Sky Blue" this is misleading as it is clearly the same Air Force blue used by the Royal Air Force (UK) and other Commonwealth Air Forces. This can be represented in RGB by (93, 138, 168).

In case anyone disputes the angle of rotation
comparing to FOTW, I've run the calculation here and input the above. It gives
which agrees with FOTW's 14.036 degrees. I've also tried it on my calculator which agrees with FOTW also.

- Actually I'll change the article to the 14.036 figure to stick to the sources and not give a formula not explicity stated (even though it can be derived from the text), and also using "tan" made the article a bit too mathematically verbose for non-mathematicians. However the formula is on this page for anyone interested. 202.89.158.3 08:27, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- Further sources for those interested in the said paragraph: from [1] "the Southern Cross as a whole is angled away from the fly with the "Gama Crucis" positioned as for the Australian National Flag and "Alpha Crucis" positioned 1/6 of the width of the fly from the middle line of the fly and 1/6 of the width of the fly from the bottom edge." From [2] "alpha - straight below centre fly 1/6 up from bottom edge". Therefore its correct to say that alpha is moved along the bottom. 202.89.158.3 08:31, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
