I hope I have done justice to Roy McWeeny. I started this page, but I had not realized I was no longer logged in. Please add to it.Bduke 23:00, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

When I looked at this there were just too many links. It was hard to find the important stuff. I now think it is more understandable. Eagle (talk) (desk) 19:10, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Copyvio

I tagged that article as a copyvio coming from this page. I notified the original author who believes that the copying may be the other way around, and is investigating. I have no reason to doubt him, and have reverted the page-blanking while this is being checked out. -- Whpq 16:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for that. I e-mailed the Royal Society of Chemistry and have got a reply that they have passed it on to the person who added the bio of Roy McWeeny to the RSC web site. Hopefully that person will reply to me soon. My recollection of writing this article is now clearer and I recall the sources I used. My fault then, in my first few days on WP, was to not reference the article. I will do that today. --Bduke 22:06, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
The Royal Society of Chemistry have agreed that their page on Roy McWeeny as the 2006 winner of the Spiers Memorial Medal is a copy of Wikipedia and they have agreed to remove it from their site. It will be replaced by a page on the 2007 winner, but that has not yet happened. --Bduke 12:58, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
