[edit] Peg Entwistle
Hi. I'm having some very serious conflicts with unidentified editors who are completely changing Peg Entwistle's Wiki page. One of them actually pasted part of an article of mine from another website and pasted it into a "Disclaimer" section they created. This was, in my opinion, done to humiliate me. The Entwistle page has been fine for some time now. If you read the Edit smmaries by the editors mentioned, you can easily see the veiled insults added to the removal of my contributions. This problem started within minutes of my article from the other website I mentioned above.
Can you help? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameszerukjr (talk • contribs) 20:25, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Colbert
I'll keep an eye on it. There were a couple changes the editor made that actually were valid (the year of the film Private Worlds), but it was quite a bit of editing for no summaries. I left a note on the user talk page about edit summaries. Have a great holiday! We just finished up a severe ice storm and blizzard!! Wildhartlivie (talk) 22:06, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'll keep it on my watchlist too. Not using the edit summary is reason enough to revert so they can take their quacking elsewhere. Pinkadelica (talk) 22:50, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm guessing you had a good look at the evening. I'm afraid I could have been more civil, but I had a headache (typical female reaction, huh?). What bothered me was the 2nd person showing up and basically backing up the newbie without even checking. I had started sytematically replacing what was removed and then the page protect kicked in, so there will be issues to address in a few days. I'm so jealous, I want to go on holiday too. We've had ice storms and blizzards here. Where are we going? Wildhartlivie (talk) 07:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- P.S. Pinkadelica and I often tag team on issues..errrr..we often cooperate and consult one another regarding issues. Email is a wonderful thing. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:00, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I am jealous. I would absolutely love to go spend a week on the most beautiful stretch of coastline in Australia and I would absolutely adore going to Australia Zoo. It all looks like such a restful month. Send me a refrigerator magnet. Hah! Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:47, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Kylieimpossibleprincessalbu.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Kylieimpossibleprincessalbu.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:02, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your Images
Please try to protect the images you've uploaded from Wikipedia deletionists! There are quite a few people that actively seek out images to delete, as strange as that seems. I just saved an image of yours from the "Speedy Deletion" folks: Una O'Connor in The Invisible Man. I'll be on watch for any further pointless deletions, but in the future, please take care of your uploads. Fuzzform (talk) 03:20, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the intention although in fairness I have to say that I strongly support the deletion of images that fail to comply with Wikipedia's policies, but 'pointless deletions' are another story. This image has been deleted, and that's fine. I'm sure Wikipedia will survive without it, and I do appreciate your courtesy. Rossrs (talk) 01:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome back
I'm very glad you had a good holiday. Hope the most beautiful beach in Australia lived up to its reputation. Meanwhile, look at what we accomplished while you were gone (second template)!! My first significant one. I mostly kept an eye on the Colbert article and your talk page for issues that I could deal with. We had a bit of trouble over at Claudette Colbert, but I managed to get the article locked for a while and the other guy hasn't been around for a while. Glad to have you back from a real world adventure and home to WP fantasyland. Wildhartlivie (talk) 01:49, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! I had worked on the article somewhat, and then the other editor, Yamanbaiia came along and added a lot of material from Wilder's book. I'm not sure where she's from (either Argentina, France, or... I just don't know), but her English is quite good. I did some brush up and language style changes, and I expanded the section on Gilda Radner and the GA review was surprisingly smooth. I commented that writing about Gilda always makes me sad. I'm pleased that this article was the first. Hopefully one of these days we can get the Radner article to equal status, but there is a problem editor with whom I've had to deal who had a finger in that pie, so to speak. In any case, thanks again! Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:04, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Joan Crawford
Hope you had a great vacation and I hate to bother you, but your expertise is needed over at the Joan Crawford article. I'm not overly familiar with Miss C. myself and I saw on the talk page that you were attempting to get her birth date figured out (albeit a while ago) so, you might be able to help. An anonymous IP and now a "new" user keeps changing the (sourced) birthdate and adding some oddly named sections. All of this seems kind of suspect because none of the changes are sourced and there's no edit summary. Could you keep this article on your watchlist and revert any unexplained/unsourced changes? I have the latest book on Crawford which I planned to use to source a few unsourced statements, but I'm enmeshed in the Valentino article at the moment. Thanks! Pinkadelica (talk) 07:04, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! I added my two cents on the talk page. Pinkadelica (talk) 03:31, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AStarisBorn1937.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:AStarisBorn1937.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:25, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Peg Entwistle
Oh, boy! Bank Holidays! You Aussie's sure know how to live! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, we had quite the row here for a while this past weekend...but it's all good now...GROUP HUG!
I think my ego needed a bit of chipping and so there it is! I'm getting mail from friends saying, "Hey, it looks nicer," "Easier to read," stuff like that. It was all rather a shock and the timing of the Erasergirl edits on the heels of the actual vadalisim really had me paranoid! I actually came to my senses when she called me a "dope." LOL!
I actually told Wildhartlivie I was "resigning" from WP....gimme my ball, I'm going home. Thanks for the help, as always, and I'm learning more as I go along. The book is coming along fine and the Hope Anderson doc is about finished... Best to you! Jameszerukjr (talk) 19:24, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:KylieMinogueCantGetYouOutOfMyHead.ogg
Thank you for uploading Image:KylieMinogueCantGetYouOutOfMyHead.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:12, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Anne Frank image
I have added a new comment to Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2008 April 18#Image:Anne Frank the Hollywood photo Oct10 1942.jpg and I hope that you can support the nomination for deletion. – Ilse@ 12:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BewitchedGeorgeTobiasandAlicePearce.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BewitchedGeorgeTobiasandAlicePearce.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 07:48, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young in Desperate Housewives.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young in Desperate Housewives.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 21:34, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
