Rope, Cheshire

Rope is a scattered settlement and civil parish in the Crewe and Nantwich district of Cheshire, England. It lies immediately to the south of Crewe, with the centre of the parish being around 2¼ miles from the centre of Crewe. Nearby villages include Shavington, Willaston and Wistaston. Shavington High School is located here.[1] The Crewe–Nantwich railway line and the A500 run east–west through the parish.

According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 2155.[2]
