Talk:Roland Dyens
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I heard that Libra Sonatina was written after Dyens was in a car accident. I think he was in a coma, or nearly lost the ability to play, or something, so the piece was written in light of that trauma. I believe John Dearman said this when he played a recital at Pasadena City College sometime in the last couple of years. The shock of the accident impelled him to new stylistic experimenting.
