Rockne Brubaker (born June 21, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American pair skater. With partner Keauna McLaughlin, he is the 2008 U.S. national champion and 2007 World Junior Champion.
[edit] Biography
With partner Mariel Miller, Brubaker was the 2005 US Junior National Champion. Their partnership ended during the 2005-2006 season.
His younger brother Collin is a junior-level ice dancer.
McLaughlin and Brubaker went undefeated in their first season together. They began their Grand Prix career with the silver medal at the 2007 Cup of China. They withdrew from the 2007-2008 Grand Prix Final after the short program due to injury to Brubaker.[1]
Due to ISU age restrictions, McLaughlin and Brubaker's 2007-2008 season ended after Nationals, as she was (at age fifteen) one year too young for them to compete at senior World Championships and he was (at age twenty-one) one year too old for them to compete at the Junior World Championships.
