I take it I was wrong about the standard being to link every year, the first time that year comes up. But why insert Hoffman's middle initial in the diplayed text? (I'm not the one who edited that section; I'm not complaining about you editing my work.) Unlike some politicians, Hoffman was rarely referred to with his middle initial. Often enough, perhaps, to justify the initial's inclusion in the title of his own page, but not, IMO, in a this sort of reference on another page. Dvd Avins 22:28, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

I have been working on this page in the conext of Wikiproject New Jersey, which is aimed at filling in the holes and expanding details regarding all things New Jersey. You are invited to contribute in any way to this effort. In general, per the Manual of Style, years should only be linked where it adds to the article. The article for Harold G. Hoffman may have been named out of ignorance, and should refer to the person as most people would use the name. We could do a move, if appropriate, to rename the page. Though it can help distinguish this Harold Hoffman from others with the same name. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Alansohn 05:15, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
