Robert Marshall was the head men's basketball coach at the University of Richmond for the 1918-1919 season, where he led the Spiders to a 1-5 record. He also served as the head football coach for the 1918 season, compiling a record of 3-1-1.
Marshall was the 20th head college football coach for the Spiders and he held that position for the 1918 season. His career coaching record at Richmond was 3-1-1.[1]
Following his time at Richmond, Marshall became football and basketball coach at Samford University.
