Robert Lawrence (British Army officer)

Robert Lawrence MC is a former British Army officer who fought and was severely wounded in the Falklands War.

Lawrence wrote about his experience of the battle of Mount Tumbledown and the injury he sustained at the hands of an Argentinian sniper. Lawrence lost 43% of his brain and was paralysed down one side of his body. His book was adapted into the BBC television programme Tumbledown which was viewed by more than 10 million people on first showing.

After leaving the army as a Captain, Lawrence has since gone onto marry after moving to Australia. He has now returned to England and was recently interviewed by several British newspapers on the 25th anniversary of the Falklands war.
