[edit] Machinima series
There is a machinima series that is reportedly coming soon using this game, so I added a short bit about it under the Legacy section. By watching the official trailer, you can see that it is made using the game and loosely based on it. 69.244.178.145 18:09, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Badly Written
This topic is in urgent need of cleanup. The gangs section is horribly organized and needs some touch-up in other places.
Why does "street gang" redirect here?
- Because this game is called Street Gangs in just about every country but, Japan and the USA. But I could see how that might be a problem. - UnlimitedAccess 10:23, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
Fixed some typos.
[edit] Ok
I found this game (River City Ransom EX.) and I've been playing it for about 3 day straight, (I'm a no-lifer.) So I fail to see why everyone hates this game? I mean I love it! I've never had so much fun with a Game Boy Advance game before, yes two player would be nice but I have no one to play with so... Plus the Custom Character item shot the value of this game majorly for me. Bassium!
Well the problem is despite the fact that an AI partner, the party system, additional shop items, more skills and customization of skills and appearances are improvements to the single player game, but the lack of a co-op play is fundamentally a regression, especially for a beat-em up game.
The co-op is one of the reasons nostalgic older gamers look back on River City Ransom. I enjoyed the EX edition as a portable and single player game too, but the inability to play with my buddies, compliment them for tossing a brick magnificently, or yelling at them for smacking "me" with a chain disappointed me, having played the original. [edit] And Another Thin!
How does this "The gil from Merv's Burger Joint doesn't smile, though." Make any sense at all? Bassium!
"gil" seems to be a typo. In the original game, you could order a 'smile' for free, which gave you nothing. Cleaned this up. 67.129.250.254 04:30, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Controversy section
It appears to be misinformation and vandalism. There are no citations and the information seems very wrong. There is no cross-eyed girl in that game, and why would martial artists get mad over a video game when movies have been screwing up the image of martial arts for years? 68.236.54.101 (talk) 01:44, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Double Dragon Connection
Ok, something is wacky here. i just got through with river city ransom NES and i heard the double dragon music (lvl 1 stage). but theres no mention of this in the article. whats the connection? similar music composers? i can't find anything about it on the internet. and all this article mentions about double dragon is the similar gameplay :( —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goatonastik (talk • contribs) 07:56, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Both games are made by Technos Japan Corporation. ~ Hibana 13:06, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
