- Such unhelpful comments should result in a banning order from Wikipedia. There appears to be no falsified information on this page, making it simply the layout which may not be of a high standard. There are, however, plenty of Wikipedia users around who can rectify the standard of the layout, rendering the above comment as unhelpful and pointlessly distracting. 30 September 2006, 14:30 UTC
The statement that the show has become one of Scotland's most watched programmes needs a citation, to say the very least. I am Scottish, I live in Scotland and I don't know anyone that watches it as far as I know, I do, however, often hear people I know talking about Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale etc. Scatterkeir 02:04, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Ray was struggling to get to grips with Roisin’s announcement that their marriage was over. He broke down in tears in the pub. Alana and Eileen offered sympathy. Fr. Michael spotted dodgy Lenny and he pressed Scarlett to find out how she was coping. Jimmy went nuts when he walked in on Scarlett and the priest having a cosy chat. Zoe’s head was being done in by George and Shirley’s unique approach to marital harmony so she escaped to Deke and Zoe’s, who were getting on well with Alice. Aware of this, Shirley told her hubby to pull his socks up for Zoe. Marty was at hand when Jo suffered mystery pains. She forced him to take her hospital and was forced into ‘fessing up about the baby. He was delighted for Billy, but slightly mystified when Jo swore him to secrecy. She bluffed that she was going to tell Billy about the baby after her first scan, and begged Marty not to tell Ruth. He reluctantly agreed to keep schtum. Eddie was very nervous about telling Jamie and Paul, his sons, about the divorce. Tina told him to act like a man and take responsibility for his actions. Shona told Roisin about the state Ray was in. Roisin decided she needed to get away for a bit. She told a miffed Shona she’d arranged for Iona, their other sister, to help out in the shop. Eddie announced to Jamie and Paul that he and Tina were to get divorced. A stroppy Paul made Eddie nearly lose the rag. Fr. Michael asked his mate Fr. Dominic for advice on walking the line between duty and friendship. He explained about being close to Scarlett. Fr. Dominic let his pal know that, if the bishop got word that Fr. Michael was entangled with Scarlett, there would be hell to pay…

Gina invited Fi to her hen night. Bob and Scarlett continued to be threatened by Lenny. Eddie overheard an exchange between Bob and Lenny in the garage. He told the wee man just to ask for help with dealing with Lenny. Fr. Michael thought it was wisest to avoid Scarlett, following his chat with Dominic. Archie contined to brag about his pulling powers at the stag do. At Versus Archie was full of chat about how marriage wouldn’t end his freedom. So, after a few tequilas, Archie set about proving his manliness in Versus: by buying champers for random dolly birds. Meanwhile, Gina’s more civilised hen night at the Ship was jazzed up with the arrival of Scarlett and her box of tatty paraphernalia. Michael continued to be tortured about the Adams family females. He chatted to his priest friend about his troubled conscience. With Liz attending the hen night, Gina’s nerves were on edge. Would they ever get on? Eddie filled Scott in on the gruesome details about informing his kids about the divorce. Heather and Gerry got on like a house on fire at the club. Then they nearly had a snog to say goodnight, but pulled away. Liz issued a dire warning about Archie’s potential as a husband, by warning Gina that Archie might walk all over her, as his father did with her…

It's the big day but the bride was still not convinced she's doing the right thing. Jo, Ruth and Eileen told her it wasn't too late and she had a nice heart-to-heart with Scott ("middle-aged hetereosexual Scottish men are programmed to say the wrong thing"). Malcolm took over but it was still touch and go whether she'd go through with the wedding… until Liz's best intentions backfired. Her admission she didn't think Archie is good enough for Gina fell on angry ears and it was enough to send Gina to the altar. Heather and Gerry obviously had a nice night in but she had to kick him out early so Freya wouldn't get confused. Bob and Charlie were the first Shieldinch regulars to bump into top celeb Lorraine Kelly! She's a friend of Billy's, she'd come to say hi to him but was persuaded to pop into the wedding reception. Now happily married, Gina was delighted to meet a happy smiley Lorraine! Bob made sure he got hold of her champagne glass to sell on the internet, while Lorraine herself stuffed her handbag full of sausage rolls before she left ;) George couldn't get over Alice's friendship with Fi and stormed out the wedding. Scarlett's thinly veiled story about 'her friend and a priest' told Father Dominic the truth about Father Michael but it wasn't enough to let him off the hook. Father Dominic told him he had to get some time away, whether it was of his own free will or otherwise. Jo eventually decided to tell Billy about the baby but it wasn't to be… as she started to spill her news, they noticed Franco was missing. An angry George in his taxi didn't see him standing in the road, Billy snatched him to safety but Jo had run out too and George couldn't miss her. They collided violently and Jo was left lying unconscious…

Ruth is not only envious of the fact that her sister is pregnant, she is also upset to hear that Marty knew about it first, creating even more tension in their marriage. Meanwhile, Tina starts a job at the surgery, while Eddie struggles to get through to Paul and Jamie. When Scott sees the sad state of affairs, he feels sorry for Eddie, and it soon appears that the two men still have feelings for each other. Elsewhere, with Jo on the mend, George is extremely relieved, whilst Gina and Archie head off on their honeymoon.

Much to Raymond’s dismay, Roisin decides to go up north for a while, and Alanna wants to go with her. Before leaving, Roisin calls upon her younger sister Iona to help Shona out at the deli. Iona arrives in Shieldinch, and it looks as though she may create quite a stir. Meanwhile, when Scott comes into the surgery, he encounters Tina, who is taken aback to discover that he is her work colleague Ruth’s best pal. And George is still struggling to come to terms with what happened to Joanne, and takes his anger out on Shirley. Father Michael is an unhappy man, so a concerned Father Dominic persuades him to speak about the problems from his past that are obviously still affecting him. Eventually, Father Michael opens up and, later on, he decides to go and see Scarlett and clear the air between them both. Meanwhile Iona cheekily lands herself a job as a beautician at Lazy Rays, despite having no qualifications or training behind her. And elsewhere, Eddie and Scott seem to be getting back together again, despite the situation being fraught with difficulties. And Lenny torments Bob, showing that he means business.

Bob, knowing what Lenny is capable of, is worried about Charlie and asks her to stay over at the Adams. Charlie accepts his offer, and the two of them get on like a house on fire, discussing their future together. Meanwhile, both Ruth and Gerry are very suspicious of Jo’s pregnancy, unable to believe that Billy is the father of Jo’s baby. Gerry eventually manages to wangle the truth out of Heather. Elsewhere, Eddie prepares a trap for Lenny and Scarlett gets a nice surprise when a car pulls up outside the Oyster Café. Iona works her charms on the besotted Deek, much to Carly’s disappointment. However, it all backfires when Iona ditches Deek on their lunch date in favour of a handsome man she meets in the Tall Ship. Meanwhile, Malcolm goes to visit George to reassure him that there are no hard feelings concerning Jo’s accident. George begins to feel better, until he comes face-to-face with Billy who is not quite so forgiving. Has there ever been any reason given as to why this is only shown in Scotland? I cannot imagine there being such a cultural difference that the rest of Britain wouldn't be able to relate to it. I mean, many in Scotland watch Eastenders and the likes, as mentioned above. Is it for the sake of exclusivity or is it just network centre not willing to include in their schedules?
I'm not convinced that referring to something as "A poorly written piece of tripe" is exactly NPOV! Grutness|hello?
