River Bend nuclear power station is a General Electric 980MW boiling water reactor on a 3,300 acre (13 km²) site in St. Francisville, Louisiana near the State Capitol.

River Bend is operated by Entergy Nuclear and owned by Entergy Gulf States, Inc.

Entergy intends to build a new nuclear reactor (of the ESBWR type) at this site. See Nuclear Power 2010 Program.

Unlike the Waterford Nuclear Generating Station downriver in Hahnville, Riverbend continued operation throughout Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
