[edit] Why link to "Fade to Black"?
I see no need for there to be a link to the article about "Fade to Black" in the See also section. I am removing it.
Made a slight edit on the meaning due to a bootleg i have. If anyone wants the actual recording please feel free to ask for it Mrkickass
Intro done on bass?
The intro done on bass guitar? As awesome as it sounds, I need proof.
[edit] Intro done on bass
I dont believe that... I think the person who wrote it was thinking about For Whom The Bell Tolls! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.89.23.11 (talk) 21:41, 10 January 2007 (UTC).
I agree on the intro part, it has a bass rythmn behind it, and it's way too high without amazing distortion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PEiP (talk • contribs)
Ok look at the Hal Leonard "Ride The Lightning" tab book...it says it was done on bass, and I'm well aware of the "For Whom The Bell Tolls" chromatic intro...just look at the "Hal Leonard" book!
the intro is not done on bass in the studio recording Cliff Burton can be heard playing open E at each 4th note, and to the best of my research that does not appear to have changed between the various bassists Metallica has played with (Mrkickass 20:16, 22 April 2007 (UTC))
[edit] Forgotten lyrics
Is it really worth mentioning that Hethfield forgot the songs lyrics? That's pretty much an everyday thing in a heavy metal consert.
[edit] Version of this song with Dave Mustaine doing vocals
A version of this does exist how come it's not mentioned on here?
