Richard R. Tisei is the Minority Leader of the Massachusetts Senate, representing the Middlesex and Essex District. He is a member of the United States Republican Party.
Sen. Tisei's district includes Lynnfield, Malden, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, and Wakefield Massachusetts. He is a graduate of American University. Prior to being elected to the Senate in 1990, he was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1985 until 1990.
Tisei is also the longest serving member of the Massachusetts Senate making him the Dean of the Senate.
