Richard Brodie (born 8 July 1987 in England) is an English footballer, currently playing for York City.

Brodie started his career with Whickham before moving to Northern League side Newcastle Benfield in summer 2006. Brodie was Whickham's top scorer in the 2005–06 season.^[1] During his time as a semi-professional, Brodie was serving an apprenticeship as a joiner.^[2]

After impressing against York City in a FA Cup tie, Brodie was offered the chance to join the North Yorkshire club. He signed on transfer deadline day, 31 January 2007, for an undisclosed sum.^[1] He scored on his York debut against Altrincham.^[3]
