Ricardo Alberto Medeiros Chaves (born October 27, 1977 in Chaves) is a portuguese footballer who currently plays for Portuguese Liga team Vitória de Setúbal, wearing shirt number 16, as an attacking midfielder.

Chaves started playing for a local club, Vila Pouca FC, when he was young. He went on to represent hometown club of G.D. Chaves, also representing Vitória de Setúbal and SC Braga. In 2008, while at Setúbal for the second time in his career, Chaves won the league cup, in a penalty shootout win over Sporting Lisbon.
