Ribble Valley Rail

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ribble Valley Rail (RVR) is the name the the group of volunteers that care for the Hellifield, Clitheroe and Blackburn section of the Ribble Valley Line. They were formed in 1986, hoping they would have services running all the way to Hellifield, but they only got services running to Clitheroe to this day. Soon, however services will run to Hellifield and maybe further afield.

It is a volunteer organisation and has had a lot of support from Clitheroe's local newspaper Clitheroe Advertiser and Times.

The line is also a Community rail service.
