Resen (Macedonian: Ресен) is a municipality in south-western Republic of Macedonia. Resen is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is found. Resen Municipality is located in the Pelagonia statistical region.

The municipality borders Ohrid municipality in the west, Demir Hisar municipality in the north-east, Bitola municipality in the east, and Greece and Albania in the south.

According to the last National census from 2002 this municipality has 16,825 inhabitants.
Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
- Macedonians = 12,798
- Turks = 1,797
- Albanians = 1,536
- others.
