[edit] Oboler

  • Supporting evidence: I've explained my rationale for this request here. Given the unique circumstances of this case, I've decided to post my request here as well as on the arbitration page. CJCurrie (talk) 00:26, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Clerk note: I'm not sure what's the decorum in arb cases. Don't Arbs evaluate and carry the check themselves? -- lucasbfr talk 08:28, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Lucasbfr--in an arb case yes, I'll contact them and ask what to do here. RlevseTalk 23:14, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I'd also be interested in knowing what CJCurrie means by "unique circumstances". Oboler (talk) 23:24, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Inconclusive. Best left to the arbitrators, I think. Thatcher 00:20, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Thatcher. I had hoped it would show Southkept to be in another country to me. I'm guessing that's not the case (and given there is only 1 cable company in this country, to then have the same ISP would be expected). There is one edit they made (to my talk page as it happens) [1] and an edit I made to another page within 3 minutes of this [2] perhaps checking those two edits specifically would be helpful given the minute amount of time between them? Alternatively I'm traveling to the US soon, so if I edit while I'm there, perhaps that would make it a conclusive negative? Oboler (talk) 08:45, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
It may be noted that IP checks aren't a foolproof method of detection. CJCurrie (talk) 21:51, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
