Talk:Reporter's notebook
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term "skinny notebook" is widely used in the industry. A Google search for "skinny notebook" will show many references to reporters' notebooks. Pha telegrapher 06:08, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- In 25 years of newspaper reporting I've never heard it called a "skinny notebook" as a name - maybe somebody asking "where did you buy that skinny notebook?" in adjective-noun form, the way they'd say "where did you buy that coffe-stained notebook?" If it's referred to by a compound name, it's always as "reporter's notebook" - or, more commonly, just notebook. However, I've only worked in the northeast U.S., so my experience is hardly universal and (gasp) I may be wrong. I think your rewording is well done. - DavidWBrooks 15:53, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
