[edit] :-(

I've had renal colic before. I hated it. Painkillers didn't work real well. I often puked during my renal colic attacks. Eventually, I passed a kidney stone though! You can click here for more info on my renal colic.

I've had renal colic too, and vomited during the entirety of it until I got some painkillers in me (morphine was the only thing that worked very well). Yuck.

so have i, i thought i was dying its such a pain.

[edit] Diclofenac better than opioids?

I question this assertion, as for acute sharp renal colic at least. Only urgent analgosedation provides better relief from acute severe renal colic, than does carefully titrated morphine together with an antispasmodic, in my experience.--84.163.114.46 (talk) 22:59, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
