[edit] Protection/unprotection
This page was protected, apparently on grounds of vandalism, but the movies removed are of questionable verifiability--I find no sign of them. It seems to me that this is a content dispute and one in which those proposing that the movies should remain listed have the onus of proving that they belong in this encyclopedia article. That is, that they do exist and that they featured Reema.
Moreover the protection was not marked, although it has been listed on Wikipedia:Protected page. This was apparently an oversight as Slimvirgin normally does a very good job. I'm taking the liberty of removing protection. Please settle this amicably. --Tony SidawayTalk 17:20, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry about forgetting to tag it, Tony. I just came over to check whether it still needing protecting, and thought I'd imagined already having done it. The reverting continues so I've reprotected but changed the tag from vprotect. I also checked a couple of the films and found no reference to them but that could be a transliteration issue. Could the editor who wants to add these films please supply a source? Without a source, the anon is allowed to delete them. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 21:41, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

- I didn't add those films to the list. I saw that Mel Etitis had rv'ed the removal of the films and assumed he had added them. But as you can see here it was in fact an anon (202.84.246.178) who added them to the list. I just looked and this editor has a history of vandalism (see [1]) and even of changing titles of movies starring Pakistani actresses (see [2]). I googled the titles of the movies the anon added and found that none of them are mentioned anywhere outside of Wikipedia; the other movie titles are, however. I would propose keeping the list the way it is right now (while removing the Family films header, which makes no sense, unless she had made films, which didn't fit into Family films) and apologizing to all the anons, who removed the non-existing films from the list. I would also like to apologize for the rv's.--Carabinieri 22:11, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

- No worries, Carabinieri. Thanks to Tony for spotting the problem. I'll unprotect it now. SlimVirgin (talk) 22:47, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

(After edit conflict.)
If the films are bogus, I'm sorry to have replaced them. All I saw was an anon (using different IP addresses each time) who removed a section without explanation. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:50, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
- That's understandable. If the anon reads this, please add your reason for deleting something in future in the edit summary and/or on the talk page. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 22:59, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
