This article is rather underdeveloped. Getting citations for any SL related article is going to be difficult as most would be coming from a registered-users forum. BlindWanderer 22:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trespassing

I think a section discussing the issue of "trespassing" should be added, especially since things seem to be ramping up to the point where someone accidentally or intentionally entering "private" property (which isn't always demarcated by no-pass barriers) could face real-world prosecution or at the very least in-world consequences. If there's a legal issues article related to Second Life (if there is I haven't found it yet) this might already be covered, in which case it can be linked to from here. 68.146.41.232 20:49, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

I've outlined my thoughts on this subject in a blog post.
I highly doubt that "trespass" would result in real-world prosecution.
As for in-world consequences, there would only be any if the "land" in question had restricted access and the Resident "trespassing" had exploited a security bug. If the land didn't have restricted access, then the in-world consequences would be if the Resident "griefed" the "land owner"- and not for the "trespass".
