Ranica is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 50 km northeast of Milan and about 5 km northeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,984 and an area of 4.2 km².[1]
Ranica borders the following municipalities: Alzano Lombardo, Gorle, Ponteranica, Scanzorosciate, Torre Boldone, Villa di Serio.
