If I recall correctly, the original RRT had a later expansion pack - I think it had South America, but I'm not 100% sure - can someone confirm that? Krupo 03:20, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)

I don't recall an expansion pack, but I'm pretty sure there was a slightly graphically improved version ('Railroad Tycoon Deluxe') which may have had South America and Africa. Kinitawowi 15:00, Sep 29, 2004 (UTC)
Yes - that's what I was thinking of. I only saw it in stores, didn't actually buy it, so that's the extent of my knowledge about it... Krupo 21:10, Sep 29, 2004 (UTC)

The RT3 screenshot doesn't have the interface displayed- if someone could please substitute a screenshot with the interface? 20:10, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

I have a game called Railroad Tycoon for the Apple IIe/IIc. It says it's a trademark of Spinnaker Software Corp and copyrighted 1987. It's not like the build your own railroad company game it's known as now. It's more about driving the train to different businesses, collecting materials, and driving the materials to other businesses, while keeping your coal and your money high. I could probably make scans of the box, manual, and disk, but to make a disk image for your emulators might be impossible (seeing as I don't own a 5 1/4 drive, don't know anyone who owns a 5 1/4 drive, don't know how to rip a apple disk to PC, and I'm not willing to mail it off to someone who could rip it in fear of losing it) E-mail me if you want more info or maybe the scans. kilid@hotmail.com --75.4.173.19 05:50, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official Download of RT Deluxe

There is an official (legal) download of Railroad Tycoon Deluxe at http://www.2kgames.com/railroads/downloads/Railroad_Tycoon.zip or http://www.gamershell.com/download_16510.shtml. If this should be mentioned, you may add it. --Constructor 22:56, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] what's Sid Meier's Railroads doing here?

It's not developed by the same company, it's not a sequel in name and (IMHO) it's not a sequel in spirit since the style departs so much from the RRT 2 and RRT 3, in fact going in a very different direction with simpler economics and more micromanagement. I think information concerning Sid Meier's Railroads should be deleted from this article except for a brief note concerning its lineage. 200.103.250.149 02:36, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sid Meier's Railroads more economic/industry ????

"Railroads! features a variety of scenarios and trains from both North America and Europe and is more economics and industry-focused than previous editions of Railroad Tycoon."

What on earth, i, and most of the comments i have seen on railroad tycoon sites show the opposite to be true, Sid Meier's Railroads includes LESS economic/industry game play/features. Railroad Tycoon 3 has the most economic/industrial features to date, (most of the RRT community views sid's railroads as a step back words from RRT3) where on earth has this section of the article came from? danielches 05:29, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Link error?

Under "External Links", "Railroad Tycoon 3 Official Site" seems to be a dead link. I didn't want to edit this, in case I was wrong. Anybody else get this? Halmass —Preceding unsigned comment added by Halmass (talkcontribs) 13:10, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reorganise

I think we need to reorganise the RRT articles. At the moment thee is no evidence of any coherence in the articles we have, redirects etc. I will have a look tomorrow at reorganising it; has there been any prior discussion? --John (talk) 05:53, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
